LJAWF Privacy Policy

This Policy covers how we treat personal information that we collect or receive from you when you use our website. “Personal Information” is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, and/or phone numbers.

 

The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival Foundation (LJAWF) is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to bring needed funds to La Jolla's public schools, art to the community and promote La Jolla and its merchants strengthening the vibrant community of La Jolla.

 

We take your right to privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable using our web site. This Privacy Policy deals with personally identifiable information (referred to as “Data” below) that may be collected by us on our site. This Policy does not apply to other entities that we do not own or control or persons that are not our employees, agents or within our control.

Use of Likeness & Voice

Attendee authorizes the Event (LJAWF) and anyone authorized by them, to retouch or alter any photographs taken of the event Participant and use it, in whole or in part, with or without the Participant’s name, signature, and/or other identification of any other fictitious or real person, in any and all media, for advertising or commercial purpose, and to claim and register its copyright in same; and further, release the Event, and their respective employees, directors, officers, agents, successors, and assigns from any and all liability arising from the use of the participant’s photograph and from any blurring, distortion or optical illusion which may occur or be produced, as well as from the use of the Participant’s name, signature, and/or information; and further relinquish all right, title and interest in and to the negatives and prints and their reproduction, including the right to approve their final form, context and use.

 

Data and Information Collection and Use

The LJAWF collects information from and about you when you sign up for LJAWF email messages and when you use the LJAWF website. Users who visit the LJAWF website and do not register do not need to provide any personal information. The LJAWF website, however, collects limited, non-personally identifying information from non-registered users that browsers make available whenever a user visits a website. This information includes your internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, cookies, and use patterns.

 

When you sign up for our email messages, we ask for your name and email address. The LJAWF uses the information we collect for the following purposes: to promote the event and to contact you. In the event you choose to use links that appear on our site to visit other web sites, you are advised to read the privacy policies that appear on those sites.

 

Information Sharing and Disclosure

The LJAWF does not rent, sell, share, or otherwise disclose Personal Information about you with other people or non-affiliated organizations.

 

Information Security

Access to Personal Information is limited to LJAWF board members and contractors who need to know that information to facilitate communication.
